Koffi Olomide Deported From Kenya 

Congolese singer , Koffi Olomide, 60 have been arrested after a picture of him kicking a woman in his band went viral on social media on Friday night in Nairobi, Kenyan.

Kenya Youth and Cabinet Secretary, Sicily Kariuk has called for the deportation of the popular Congolese singer.

The Kenya authorities in statement described Koffi's action as violence against women and girls which will not be tolerated.

"Today Kenyans witnessed with dismay an assault incident at JKIA by renowned artist Koffi Olomide against one of his female dancers . His conduct is an insult to Kenyans and files in the face of our constitution and what we believe in", They said.

According to vanguard the congolese singer is back in Kinshasa, Congo

It was confirmed from his Kenyan lawyer George Wajakoyah saying, “I can confirm to you that my client Koffi Olomide was expelled this morning and I have just spoken to him,”

FAMILY FEEDS NEW BORN BABY TO DOG IN KATSINA

Family of five in Saika village of Batsari Local Government Area, Katsina State have been arrested for reportedly using a day-old baby boy as food to a dog.

The suspects include 15-year-old Wosila Halilu,the mother of the baby and  her three stepbrothers and her mother.

It was alleged that the mother of the baby, Wosila, 15 was tempted and raped by a 27 year-old farmer, Musa Garba on his farm which resulted to a pregnancy hence the family viewed the pregnancy as shameful and sought to terminate the baby after birth. 

Unable to behold the repercussion of the sexual assault, they, therefore, held a meeting where it was alleged that Wosila’s mother and her step brothers concluded that the baby should be fed to a dog.

The village head of Saika, known as Dakacin Seika, reported the incident to the police,which further lead arrest of the family and the the farmer.

While Garba is in police custody for alleged rape, the other culprits are facing a 3-count charge; culpable homicide, criminal conspiracy and rape.

They were brought before a Katsina Magistrate Court. The prosecution said the offences were in contravention of sections 235, 387 and 85 of the Penal code.

Magistrate Nura Ladan ordered further investigation into the incident and directed that the suspects be remanded in police custody and adjourn the case till August 8, 2016.
