Federal government alerts Nigerians of fake anti-malaria drug in circulation
Nigerian Government warns public of fake drug
The Federal Government has alerted Nigerians of two confirmed falsified versions of Quinine Sulphate in circulation. Quinine sulphate is used in the treatment of Malaria. A statement signed by the Director, Media and Public Relations of the Ministry of Health, Boade Akinola, states that the two falsified drugs contain zero active pharmaceutical ingredients. The statement added that the drugs are majorly being circulated in West and Central Africa, particularly in Cameroon and Democratic Republic of Congo.Akinola said one of the fake products was named Quinine Sulfate 300 mg with 1000 Tablets per container, Batch Number 10H05, expiry date 09/2018 and its date of manufacture is 09/2014. She stated that the drug manufactured by Novadina Pharmaceutical Limited, London, United Kingdom was first was discovered in Cameroon.
The other version of the fake drug was Quinine Sulphate 300mg with 100 Tablets per container; batch F4387, expiry date 11/18 and its date of manufacture is 12/14. She explained that the product was manufactured in India by CAD Pharm, and it was discovered in Bunia, Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Akinola advised Nigerians to be vigilant and report to the nearest National Agency for Food and Drug Administration office anywhere the drugs were spotted including hospitals and pharmaceutical shops.
The ministry advised Nigerians to also report if they come ac the following GSM no +234-8037881120, +234-8055056727 and +234-8035902679. “If you are in possession of these products, please do not use them.
“If you have taken this falsified product or if you suffer an adverse effect following its uptake, please seek immediate advice from a qualified healthcare professional and report the incident to NAFDAC.’’

US Women Qualify For The 4x100m Relay Race Final After An Appeal
US women team to compete in relay race final after appealing to IAAF
The U.S. women's 4x100m relay team L-R Morolake Akinosun, Allyson Felix, Tianna Bartoletta and English Gardner have for the relay race final after appealing.Allyson Felix and her teammates were out earlier after dropping their baton during the women's 4x100-meter relay semifinal.
The team made an appeal to the governing body IAAF arguing that other runners made them drop their baton and they were given a second shot to make the final, and they made the most of it.
In order to make the final, IAAF set up a special race for US team on Thursday night. The relay race was to beat the time of 42.70 seconds that was run by China's team.
They did that, posting a 41.77 time. The team —Tianna Bartoletta, Allyson Felix, English Gardner, and Morolake Akinosun — now advances to Friday night's final at 9:15 p.m. ET.
Man Sentenced To 5 Month Jail For Stealing Cock In Abuja
Sunday Ogboji, 25 has been sentenced to 5 month in prison on Thursday in Abuja for stealing cock worth N4000.
He was arraigned to Kado Grade 1 Area Court, Abuja, where he confessed that he hasn’t eaten chicken meat for a long time, hence the devil pushed him into the heinous crime.
The Judge, Alhaji Mohammed Ado, however, gave Ogboji, a technician, an option of N6, 000 fine for the two-count charge of criminal trespass and theft and warned him to desist from crimes.
Ado also ordered the convict, who resides at Kado Village, Abuja, to pay N4, 000 as restitution to the nominal complainant.
Earlier, the Prosecutor, Augustine Urom, told the court that Insp. Simon Aliyu of same address with the convict reported the matter at the Life Camp Police Station, Abuja, on Aug. 14.
Urom said the complainant reported that on Aug. 8, he saw the convict stealing one of his birds valued at N4, 000.
The prosecutor said that when Ogboji was arrested and interrogated by the police, he admitted stealing the cock and eating it.
Urom said that the offences committed contravened Sections 348 and 288 of the Penal Code.
The convict pleaded guilty to the offenses and prayed the court to temper justice with mercy.
Ogboji said that he did not know what possessed him to steal the cock although he had not eaten meat for a long time.
He promised to be of good behaviour in future.

The producer, Kevin kaija and Anne both belong to the NTV and the Nation Media Group (NMG) of Uganda were thought to be the victims indulging in such misconduct violating the rules and regulation of the TV station.

Because of this social media, that gives everyone a microphone, the spinster, who has never been married and has no children can condemn another woman’s choice.
The first question on my mind was “Madam, how come you are not married at 44?” but fear no let me, as it was obvious that the poor mare needed an outlet to vent her frustration.
When Jhene started trending, I read tweets with awe, people who had little or no access to the real information, became ‘professors,’ earning their PHDs and Masters on the subject, after spending all of 5 minutes digesting the story on TMZ.
Some others who weren’t afforded the education TMZ gave, relied solely on Facebook and Twitter, for their ONDs and HNDs on the subject. I respect Jhene for deciding to end a ‘fungating’ relationship.
There are a few reasons why a woman would cheat, the worst being that her heart is no longer in the relationship.
Should she have stayed and continued cheating, or moved on? Some suggested that she should have stayed and fixed her marriage, despite allegations of violence.
Hmm, like that gentleman in Ibadan who went home to try to fix his marriage after he was stabbed once? The poor guy is in the graveyard, with the story more or less buried with him. Same thing with that pretty lagos banker, who died trying to fix her marriage.
This year alone I have come across 4 or 5 of such stories, and wonder when, if at all, people are going to learn.
In the western world, they are not burdened with the responsibility we have, of pretending all is well on the home front, while we slide in and out of DMs and hotel rooms, yet ‘forming’ self righteous.
Also, they don’t enjoy the luxury of having some confused men of God, who are more worried about a couple going for deliverance for engaging in daily sex, or whether a woman knows how to cook or not, instead of facing what Jesus called them to do.”
Escaped Chibok Girl Still In Love With Bokoharam Husband
Amina told BBC that while she was held hostage by boko haram for 2 years she was married off a year into her ordeal and later had a baby girl, Safiya.

The 7th FIFA passed away in Samaritano Hospital in Rio de Janeri , Brazil after been hospitalized due to respiratory problems.
On leaving the office of President, he was given an honour but Havelenge resigned as the honourary President due to corruption allegations levied against him and others in April 2013.
He also served as a member of the International Olympic Committee between 1963 and 2011.

Donnie McClurkin engage to Nicole.C.Mullen
Pastor and gospel singer Donnie McClurkin has announced on TBN show 'praise the lord' that he is engaged to Nicole C. Mullen and not ashamed of it.
McClurkin made an appearance on Thursday night on the TBN show with hosts Matt Crouch and his wife, Laurie, when Crouch announced that McClurkin was engaged to Nicole C. Mullen.
Crouch asked the audience “OK, are you ready for something? You want me to just drop something on ya?”
And he dropped the bomb, “Donnie McClurkin’s getting married! Come on!”
Donnie replied saying, “I’m not ashamed at all,”
“I’ve fallen in love with a wonderful young woman by the name of Nicole C. Mullen.” he said.
McClurkin is the father of a teenaged son and previously sparked controversy after saying that God had delivered him from “the curse” of homosexuality.
"Honestly, the only thing in my life that is missing is marriage. The only thing that is missing in my life that can cause real family, is marriage. Financially, I’m there. Spiritually, I’m almost there. Emotionally, I’m getting it together. But the only thing that’s missing out of everything that I’m doing locally, cross country and globally is that aspect that makes family, family — is that wife that would make man whole, that element that brings favor to man." Manchester United Has Finally Unveil Paul Pogba On Record Deal Of £89 million
Ex-Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, 23 is now the world's most expensive football just as Manchester united completed his signing with a fee of £89 million.
Pogba joins Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan as the fourth signing of the club on a five-year deal under the new coach Jose Mourinho.
