Father Jacques funeral will be held today
The funeral of the french priest , Jacques Hamel who was killed by two kinifemen in Normandy will be held today.
Abdel Malik Petitjean and Adel Kermiche belonging to Islamic State group killed father jacques by slitting his throat with a knife and were shot dead by police after a tense hostage drama in which a worshipper was left seriously wounded.
According to Mailonline, French president Francois Hollande will not attend the funeral but Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve is expected to be at the funeral mass along with around 2,000 other mourners, including local Muslims. .
A service is set to be held today for 85-year-old Father Jacques Hamel in the 11th Century Gothic cathedral in the city of Rouen, which will be patrolled by police commandos.
The priest will be buried at a private location in a ceremony, which will only be attended by members of his close family.
Father Jacques became the latest victim of terror in France after a truck driver killed about 85 people and injured in Bastille day Attack.
