5 people were seriously injured on Monday in an accident that occurred when a police bullion van driver broke traffic regulation in Abuja.
According to NAN ,a male eyewitness said that at the accident occurred when the driver of the police bullion van, “roforce” number NPF 2647D, Agada Daniel of the police FCT commands, allegedly drove against the traffic.
“The driver of the bullion van impatiently decided to take one way at a high speed,
it rammed into an Abuja painted taxi marked Kaduna, DKA 601XA and collided with another oncoming vehicle another painted taxi driver thereafter, he said.
It was reported among the injured 5 four were staff of the Halogen security company in Area 3, FCT.
According to him, driving against the traffic has become norms for the police and the military, mostly on Maraba axis.
“It is so unfortunate that the law makers are the law breakers in this Country," he said.
NEMA team on rescue mission couldn not answer question as were so busy evacuating the injured passengers. All efforts by NAN to reach the force PRO proved abortive.
