News just reaching us indicates that a car bomb exploded at the WTC Primary School Polling Booth in Enugu North Local Government Area of Enugu State at about 7.38 am today, March 28.
The Advocate reports that there was however no casualty as the bomb exploded before the election commenced but there was pandemonium as voters were scared.
The bombs was planted in a Honda Accord Car and parked behind the WTC primary school by unknown persons awaiting the commencement of voting.
Officials of the Police Bomb Unit who rushed to the scene after policemen posted to the centre raised an alert, said one of the bombs exploded inside the car while the second did not explode before they arrived.

The bomb experts dismantled the second bomb which was timed to explode during the voting.
It was revealed that the second bomb was detonated at 8.45am by the police bomb operatives.
Enugu State Commissioner for Police, Mr. Dan Basture led officials of the command and Department of State Security, DSS, officials’ to the scene and to conduct thorough screening of the school premises while assuring scared voters of their safety as the situation has been normalized.
