Three Chinese Men Arrested For Smuggling Contraband Into Nigeria
Three Chinese nationals have been arrested by the the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) for allegedly smuggling contraband and illegal textile materials worth over N20 billion into the country.
The foreign business men were identified as Gao Gnuxu, Li Yang and Zhon Showmin. In another operation co-ordinated by the Comptroller General of Customs (CGC), Muhammad Diko Inde, the service also sealed up over 20 warehouses belonging to the Chinese in Kano and Lagos States respectively. Confirming the report, the CGS said: “We have seized the printed illegal materials and sealed over 20 warehouses whose value worth N20 billion. We are doing this in our effort to make Nigeria free of all illegal businesses, imports and actions capable of totally crippling the country.”
