The Lagos State University has said the institution will reopen on Monday for academic and administrative activities.
According to punch, The school was shut on March 23 in what the school’s authorities and the state government described as a pre-emptive measure against possible violence during the March 28 and April 11 polls which might affect the students and staff.
In a terse statement posted on its website, the school said that all outstanding issues would be resolved.
“Lagos State University re-opens for both academic and administrative activities on Monday, May 18, 2015. The Governing Council and Management of LASU hereby direct that the university be re-opened for administrative and academic activities with effect from Monday, May 18, 2015.
“Consequently, all staff and students are enjoined to go about their normal activities, in an atmosphere of peace and tranquillity. It is hoped that all outstanding issues would be resolved in due course,” the school said.
