Following an April 22 attack on one Saturday Akpomose, a 45-year-old commercial driver, in Ajah, Lagos; there has been a cash compensation, an out-of-court settlement, as well as the promise of a job.
Saturday who was immediately admitted at the Akodo General Hospital, Ibeju-Lekki, upon being attacked by seven guard dogs, reportedly owned by a captain serving in the US marine, also had his medical bills settled. The dogs had been taken out for a walk or something when they saw the man and pounced on him, multiple sources confirm.Saturday Akpomose initially demanded a 5million naira settlement, stating how injuries from the attack would make it impossible for him to work and cater to his children’s needs. His family also threatened with a law suit but the victim is alleged to have received the sum of N30,000 and settled out of court with the hope of getting further compensation in due time.
