Actor, Emeka Ike Wants Wife Back

Emeka Ike, Nollywood Actor married to German woman, Suzanne Emma Rero. Both couple have not been enjoy their marriage for some years now. 

The has decided to file up case to a High Court in order to readdressed the divorce suit filed up against him in 2015.

Suzanne Emma, the mother of 4 had filed for a divorce at the Lagos Island Customary Court over maltreatment  among other issues.

According to SDK reports two years ago Suzanne wrote that : Emeka Ike took two of the kids with him to Abuja while the wife is left with the other two in Lagos. “To say she and her two kids are going through hell is an understatement. There have been allegations also that there is a lot of spousal abuse going on but I cannot out-rightly say that because the woman has not come out herself to cry out. It is a pity that some men are babies and use children as scape goats to carry out revenge against their spouses…!”

But the  Nollywood actor, Emeka has denied the allegation and he is ready to do anything to have his wife back so as to save his 16 years marriage

In his bid to stop his wife leaving him, Ike informed a Lagos Island Customary Court that he had filed an application before a High Court restraining the lower court from hearing the divorce suit filed by his estranged wife, Emma in 2015.

The divorce case was slated for judgment on Tuesday, July 12, 2016.

Emeka Ike's rlawyer, Mr Abdul Labi-Lawal informed the court that they had filed a stay of proceedings before a High Court in Lagos which declares that the Lagos Island Customary Court lacked requisite jurisdiction to entertain and determine the divorce suit. The application also noted that the marriage between the estranged couple was conducted in Enugu State under the Igbo customs and traditions.

But Suzanne’s lawyer Mr Iheanyi Awa, said “It is a ploy to frustrate my client; they just want to delay the judgment till another day. The court should give its judgment and if they are not satisfied, they can appeal,”

“The stay of proceedings has been decided for a long time and court has ruled that it has jurisdiction to entertain the matter.

The court eventually granted adjournment of the case till further notice.

Meanwhile, Ike’s lawyer in 2015 when the divorce case was still fresh had begged the court to give the actor six months to see if there was a possibility of settlement between the couple adding that the actor was still in love with his wife. Emma however said 6 months was too long adding that Emeka had 2 years to reconcile with her but he didn’t.
