Harrysong donates to orphanage

Five star music act, Harrison Tare Okiri popularly known as Harrysong visited  city of David Orphanage home in Asaba, Delta on Wednesday July 27.

According to e-nigeriang.com, Harrysong and his 'One Delta Peace Movement' team stormed the orphanage home and donated some materials to the children.

Expressing her gratitude and appreciation, Evangelist Hephzibah Oluwadare Coordinator of the orphanage home said, “The children and I are overly excited on your visit today just as it is evident in the kind of reception they gave you when you entered the premises; they depend on kind hearted people like you to survive every day. We are full of appreciation whenever we receive visitors like you from different parts of the world who come to share their God given resources with the needy. May God continue to enrich and uplift you”.

Speaking to the them, Harrysong who was full of nostalgia seized the opportunity to encourage the children to stay focused and not allow themselves to be overwhelmed by their situation. His exact words, “I am happy to be in your midst. Your situation only reminds me of my life as a growing up child; but by the grace of God I rose up above my situation and today I am star, a role model and now I can see in your midst, stars who would change the world, stars who would reshape our country, stars who would further re-brand the image of our dear country Nigeria, stay positive, work hard and pray hard”.

                                 

Furthermore, Desmond Ike Chima, Harrysong’s media Manager affirmed the entertainers’ commitment to giving back to the society that made him.

According to him, “Harrysong’s action today has only brought to bear the famous words of Mahatma Gandhi which I will quote, ‘The simplest acts of kindness are by far more powerful than a thousand heads bowing in prayer’.

The young man feels more fulfilled today than ever because God has elevated him to a height where he now has the capacity to donate to the less privilege. We plan to visit more orphanage homes regular. On the other hand, Harrysong has also kicked off the process of adopting a particular baby from the orphanage soonest; we shall make further details available to the public once all the paper works are completed. Indeed he is committed to contributing his own quota to making the world a better place”.
