SARS Killed Newly Married Man
Tochukwu 42, a newly wedded man was killed on Wednesday by Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
He was shot on the thigh after the policeman ordered him to stop but he refused . This happened on France Road Kano state according to sources.
The chairman of Igbo Trader Welfare Association, Kano state, Chief Emmanuel Amadi said ,Tochukwu was pronounced dead the following day at Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital.
Tochukwu's death sparked up protest led by angry youths seeking for justice.
“The protesters are demanding justice. On our own, we have pleaded with them not to take laws into their own hands. All we are asking for is that the Tochukwu's killer be made to face justice,” Amadi said.

Kano State Police Command Public Relations Officer, DSP Magaji Majia, said, “The Commissioner of Police, Alhaji Rabiu Yusuf, has ordered the arrest and detention of the team leader and his men.
“He also summoned the elders of the Igbo community in Kano to a meeting, where he sympathised with them and assured them that justice would be done.
“The outcome of the investigation will be made public as soon as investigation is completed.”
